Terms of Service
These Terms of Service are a legal agreement between you and Meld. They apply when you visit heymeld.com, join our waitlist, or use the Meld iOS app once it is available. By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Meld is
Meld is a consumer wellness product being built by Brock Howard. As of today, Meld operates a pre-launch marketing website at heymeld.com with a waitlist for the forthcoming iOS app. The app is not yet available for download.
2. Not a medical device
This is important. Meld is a wellness and coaching product, not a medical device. Meld is not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Meld does not replace advice from a qualified health professional.
Always consult your doctor before changing your diet, exercise, supplements, medications, or medical routine based on anything Meld shows you. In an emergency, call emergency services. Do not use Meld for urgent medical needs. Never ignore professional medical advice because of something Meld told you.
3. Your account
You can join the waitlist by submitting your email. When the full app launches, you will be asked to create an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your account secure, be at least 13 years old or the minimum age in your country (whichever is higher), and only use Meld for your own body.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Meld for anyone other than yourself. You agree not to scrape, copy, or redistribute Meld's content or the coach's responses without permission. You agree not to reverse engineer the app or backend. You agree not to access other users' data. You agree not to upload anything illegal, harmful, or that violates anyone's rights. You agree not to try to make the coach give you dangerous, harmful, or illegal advice. You agree not to use Meld to impersonate a licensed professional.
5. Waitlist
Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to the app. We cannot promise a specific launch date. We will email you when access is available. You can unsubscribe from the waitlist at any time.
6. Intellectual property
Meld's name, logo, website, app, and all original content belong to us. You may link to heymeld.com and share our public content. You may not reproduce our brand or content commercially without written permission.

7. AI disclaimer
Meld uses AI, specifically Anthropic's Claude, to power the coach. AI can make mistakes. Do not treat coach responses as the final word. Always use common sense, and consult a qualified professional for medical decisions. We do our best to ground coaching in published research, but we do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or suitability for your specific situation.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Meld is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that Meld will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free. We do not warrant that the results from using Meld will meet your health goals. We do not warrant that the coach's advice is perfectly accurate for your specific situation. We do not warrant that any errors in content will be corrected.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meld and its founders are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website, waitlist, or app. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed one hundred US dollars or the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and update the Last Updated date. Material changes will be announced by email to waitlist members. Continued use of Meld after a change means you accept the new Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Meld is incorporated, which will be confirmed before launch. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that state.
